За основу взяты официальные оффлайн-версии, основным недостатком которых следует назвать размер (300-700 мб каждый выпуск) и меньшее удобство html-папки по сравнению с привычными однофайловыми электронными книгами. Обе проблемы в значительной мере решаются chm-компилированием, что и было сделано вместе с сокращением графической части (вырезаны были г.о. pdf-карты, в целом повторяющие друг друга от издания к изданию, а в изданиях 2013 и 2014 гг. - и графики динамики населения - около 170 мб на выпуск - их, на наш взгляд, целесообразнее хранить отдельно архивом, в качестве приложения). Флаги, jpg-карты, и, конечно, все данные сохранены и общий объем уменьшился до 12-60 мб каждый файл.
